Nagahama Taikan Onsen, Shiga — Hot Spring with History

May in Shiga brought me to Nagahama Taikan Onsen — a hot spring steeped in samurai legend and local folklore. The wooden plaque tells the whole story: a spring discovered centuries ago, blessing generations with its healing waters. Soaking here felt like stepping back in time!

５月の滋賀で長浜太閤温泉に来た！昔から伝わる男児誕生の祝いの湯として親しまれてきた、歴史ある温泉なんだ。木の看板に書かれた由来を読んでると、この地の人々がどれだけこの湯を大切にしてきたか、すごく伝わってくる。湯に浸かると、時間が巻き戻ったみたいだった！
