Woke up in a cabin in Hakuba mid-December and this was the view from the window — everything completely blanketed in fresh snow. The whole village was quiet and magical that morning, with Mt. Shirouma barely visible through the haze. Days like this remind me why winter in the Japanese Alps is so special.
