Wandering through Ironai in Otaru one April afternoon, I stumbled into a cozy café and found this gorgeous chiffon cake topped with fresh cream. The texture was impossibly light — totally melted on my tongue. Spring in Hokkaido feels special somehow, even in a quiet pastry moment like this!
