Early October morning in Kurihara, and the mountain was already starting to blaze with autumn colors — those deep reds and golds scattered across the lower slopes were absolutely stunning. The sky was so clear and bright, I just had to stop and take it all in. This is when hiking in Tohoku really hits different!
