September in the Northern Japanese Alps, and I finally made it to Nisecho Sanso — this tiny mountain lodge deep in Kamikōchi felt like stepping into another world. The granite peaks around me, the crisp alpine air, the trail stretching ahead — it was exactly what I came for!
