Stumbled upon this lovely old rest stop deep in Shizuoka's mountains during a June road trip — the kind of place that makes you slow down and actually read the signs! The wooden beams and faded signboards have so much character; you can feel the decades of travellers passing through. These quiet corners are where Japan's real soul lives.
