Stopped by Kesennuma in May and spotted this blue memorial marker on a building wall — a sober reminder of the 2011 disaster. Even amid the everyday vending machines and street life, the town's resilience and memory felt so present. Japan's northeastern coast carries weight like nowhere else I've travelled.

5月に気仙沼を訪れて、建物の壁に貼られた青い慰霊碑を見つけた。2011年の出来事を忘れさせない、静かだけど強い想い。日常の自動販売機の横に並んでいる姿が、この町の向き合い方を物語ってるなって感じた。東北の海沿いの町は、ほんとに違う。
