Wandered into the seafood market in Shimonaga, Hachinohe on a chilly February morning — and these beautifully sorted scallops just stopped me in my tracks. The pale pink and deep amber shells looked almost artistic arranged in those plastic crates. This is where the real Tohoku coast energy lives!
