Stumbled into this incredible seafood market in Nakashibetsu during February — the display cases were absolutely overflowing with scallops, sea urchins, and fish that looked like they'd just come off the boat. The purple and pink hues of everything on ice were almost too beautiful to eat... almost! This is what fresh Hokkaido seafood looks like.
