Picked up this beautiful local guide map in Towada during a summer trip through Aomori — and it totally opened my eyes to how much history and natural beauty is packed into this corner of Tohoku. From Mt. Hakkōda's silhouette on the horizon to the lake's calm waters and all the tiny food stories woven in, you can feel how much locals love their home. Maps like this are honestly my favourite souvenirs!
