Historic Hot Spring Lodge in Towada, Aomori

Stumbled upon this beautifully preserved wooden onsen lodge in Towada during mid-summer — the dark timber and that elegant gold-trimmed entrance just stopped me in my tracks. There's something magical about these old ryokan spaces that takes you straight back in time. With Mt. Hakkōda looming in the distance, the whole scene felt like stepping into another era.

七月の十和田で見つけたこの歴史ある温泉旅館、深い木色と金色の見事な装飾に心を掴まれた！こういう古い建築って本当に時間を巻き戻してくれる感覚がある。八甲田山を望む景色も相まって、昭和の空気がそのまま残ってるみたいだった。
