Wandering the streets of Hakodate in May, I spotted this vibrant ramen shop sign screaming golden broth and rich flavour. The bold red and yellow caught me instantly — had to try it! That's the thing about Hokkaido spring: you stumble into these little gems tucked away in quiet neighbourhoods, and suddenly your whole day gets better.
