July in the Chubu foothills — drove through this quiet mountain village and was stopped in my tracks by that perfect peak framed between the power lines and clouds. Those lazy afternoon clouds, the lush green all around, the simple rhythm of rural life — this is Japan's slower side, and I loved it.
