Woke up at 5 AM and caught this incredible early-morning light at Tokura in Katashina. The mountains wrapped around this little roadside spot were so lush and peaceful—hardly anyone around yet. June in the countryside hits different; the greenery was absolutely glowing. It's these quiet moments between the road trips that remind me why I love exploring rural Japan.
