Tonomine Pagoda, Sakurai: Nara's Hidden Gem

December in Nara, and I found myself at Tonomine in Sakurai — standing before this incredible thirteen-storey pagoda that's been standing since the 1600s. The forest around it was bare and quiet, giving the whole place this timeless, almost sacred feel. History carved right into the architecture!
