Wandered deep into the forested shrine grounds of Fukakusa in April, and stumbled onto this moss-covered torii gate tucked between towering cryptomeria trees. The way the light filtered through the canopy and the raw, weathered stone — it felt like stepping back in time. With Mt. Daimonji visible in the distance, this quiet corner of Kyoto reminded me why I love exploring off the beaten path.
