Spotted this gorgeously carved wooden temple gate deep in Azumino during a July mountain pilgrimage — those fierce guardian masks carved into the portal are seriously something else. The craftsmanship on these old structures never gets old, especially tucked away in the foothills of Mt. Tsubakuro where time feels like it stopped a century ago!

７月、燕岳の麓・安曇野で見つけた古い寺院の門。彫られた鬼の顔のディテールが本当に素晴らしい！こういった古い建築物の職人技には毎回惚れ惚れしてしまう。山の奥だからこそ、昔のままの空気感が残ってるんだろうな！！
