Visited this powerful memorial in Ishinomaki in May 2023 — reading through the documented accounts of the 2011 earthquake and tsunami hit differently standing right there. The resilience of this town, and how they chose to preserve and share these stories, really stayed with me.

2023年5月、石巻を訪れてこのメモリアルに立ち寄りました。2011年の大震災と津波の記録を目の当たりにすると、言葉では言い表せない何かが胸に響く。この町の復興への想いと、記憶を次の世代に伝えようとする姿勢が本当に素晴らしかった。
