Tochigi Wayside Rest Stop in Winter, with Mt. Nantai in View

Found this charming little wayside marker in Tochigi in January — the cherry blossoms on the sign felt like a promise of spring to come. Deep winter in the Kanto region, but standing here with Mt. Nantai visible across the landscape, I could almost feel the warmth waiting just a few months ahead.
