Monument Valley in June — the iconic buttes that stole my breath

I finally made it to Monument Valley in early summer, and wow — those towering red-rock buttes are even more surreal in person than I'd imagined. The desert heat was relentless, but standing there under that massive sky, watching the clouds dance across the sandstone monuments, I totally understood why this place is legendary. Pure magic.
