Early morning hike along the Karakuwa Peninsula in Kesennuma — that crisp May air and the Pacific stretching out below me felt absolutely perfect. The gnarled pines shaped by the coastal winds, the ocean glinting in the sunrise light... this is why I love hiking the Tohoku coast.
