Found this incredible historical marker at Kurumagaeri in Aso — a stone pavement from the Edo period that was actually used by feudal lords traveling between regions! May greenery all around, and learning about the centuries of foot traffic on this very path just hit different. History beneath your feet!

阿蘇のクルマガエリで見つけた江戸時代の石畳の道。参勤交代で使われた歴史がある道なんだ！五月の新緑の中、何百年も前の人たちが歩いた同じ石の上に立ってると、時間がぐっと近くなる感じがした。最高！
