Stumbled upon this beautifully preserved thatched farmhouse in Chitose — the craftsmanship in that roof just stopped me in my tracks! January's clear blue sky made the whole scene feel timeless, like stepping straight into old rural Japan. These heritage buildings are becoming rarer by the day, so finding one this well-kept felt like a real treasure.
